Edges-Only Void Cube

Edges-Only Void Cube

The edge only cube has no corners, just edges. The name does suggest that. In the version shown, you have some large edges that are hooked onto a set of rails like the void cube. It is a bit awkward to turn, since you normally turn a cube by flicking a corner.

If you have a spare cube, simply sticker the corners with a seventh colour on all faces. You have the same effect but get something that turns nicely. Removing the centres creates a bit of interest when it comes to placing the edges on the first layer - you may want to sticker them the same way.

This puzzle can be solved fairly quickly using a corners first method because of the intuitive way that you place edges, ignoring the need to solve any corners, of course.
